Websites Providing Satellite Images and Geospatial Data

If you are building or evaluating a model on satellite or aerial imagery, land-use classification, disaster response, agricultural monitoring, defence or urban planning, the first step is sourcing the raw imagery itself, before it can be tagged, labelled and turned into ground truth. Below is a comprehensive list of the websites that provide it, from national space agencies and open-data portals to commercial satellite operators.

These same sources are also used well beyond AI teams: environmental researchers track land-use change, students and educators study geography and climate, and real estate professionals check properties and neighbourhoods from above. But if you are building a training or evaluation dataset, this list is your starting point for raw imagery, before geospatial annotation turns it into usable data.

We have organised the list below into free and open sources, followed by commercial satellite imagery providers.
